Business owners all over the web are entering the video market, why? Because it works! Video is a fantastic marketing tool on the web and is much more interesting than reading a block of text somewhere.

The most popular site for hosting your videos at the moment being Youtube, but there are many more like Blip.tv, Metacafe, etc… The possible audience for your videos is massive! Even if you got 3 views per day your looking at almost 100 views a month, and did we go over the part where all this is free? So free targeted traffic all from a video you put together. In my books that’s not bad.

Does your video have to be professionally put together? No, no it does not. There are many approaches to producing videos, you could do an animated slideshow, or even simpler just you in front of the camera. There are a lot of ways to make a video, that’s up to you how you want to do it! All can be effective.

I personally use video to market myself and my business, all I do a mixture of video productions, some programs allow you to hold a slideshow and present it at the same time (so you can see both you and the slideshow) which in some cases I think is very effective.

Going back to the point I made earlier about online companys doing this kind of thing for you, yes they can be very effective. But alot of the free services can be quite unprofesional and maybe detur customers rather than attract which is ultimatly what you want to do! So just a word of advice when out there looking for somthing like that, you must put yourself in your customers shoes and think what they would about that video.
